To me, it made perfect sense why they decided to do a prequel movie about Victor’s early career called ICE ADOLESCENCE. But with so many side characters, there is a lot left to be done in that universe. Already in his 20’s, Yuri Katsuki was considering retirement (yikes) so we knew that the story could only go so far. On top of that, there is so much that can be done with young “Yurio”- Yuri Plitsetsky, who is just starting his adult skating career. We love Yuri and Victor so much, we want to see what would happen in their careers. It has also been applauded by the LGBTQ community as showing a yaoi romance in such a beautiful way.Įven though the story was wrapped up so well, we still have so much left to go in the world of figure skating competitions.
